The first photo is Diablo and Lonnie, Red's friends, getting ready for Christmas. 

The second photo is Taj, whose real name is Power Blaster.  He's known around the farm as PB or Peebles.  Russ has never liked that name so when he decided to write PB's story, he renamed him Taj Mahal.

The third photo is Taj with his best friend, Dusty Dart.  They have been together for the better part of the last twenty years since they were racing.  They are both Standardbreds.

 

The fourth photo is of Uno, Diablo's son, and Red's friend.  Both Diablo and Uno are Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horses which means they have a natural four beat lateral gait making them very smooth to ride.

The last three photos are Red Leader.  In the photo with the barn you can see Frenzy sticking her head out from the back of the barn.  The close up of Red shows him with his winter coat.
