It's Spring -- almost.  And here is our new show schedule.  Hope to see y'all at one of these events.

March 27, 2010 -- Hanson, KY is having an art fest and we will be participating.  The show runs from 9 - 4.

April 10, 2010 -- Redbud Quilt Festival, Barbourville, KY.  This is a one day event at Union College.

April 24 & 25, 2010 -- Mountain Mushroom Festival, Irvine, KY.  Hours are 9 - 7 Saturday and 10 - 5 Sunday.

May 8, 2010 -- Heart of Kentucky Art on the Green, Lebanon, KY.  It will be held at Graham Memorial Park.

May 14 & 15, 2010 -- Kentucky Wine & Vine, Nicholasville, KY. 

May 22, 2010 -- Art in the Alley, Greensburg, KY.  The show starts at 9 AM Central Time.

June 3, 4, & 5, 2010 -- Capital Expo, Frankfort, KY. 

June 12, 2010 -- Beer Cheese Festival, Winchester, KY.  This is the second one and it should be fun.

June 26, 2010 -- Book Fair/Art Fair, Harrodsburg, KY.  This is a new event by the people who run the Brass Band Festival in Danville.

August 21 & 22, 2010 -- Woodland Art Fair, Lexington, KY.  We will be set up at the Woodland Christian Church.

August 27 & 28, 2010 -- Kentucky Heartland Festival, Elizabethtown, KY.  This is held at Freeman Lake Park.

Tears and Tales: Stories of Animal and Human Rescue has won three AWARDS.   Russ is a finalist in the USABookNews Best Books 2006 Book Awards in the Fiction & Literature: Short Stories, Fiction, category.  The book is also a semi-finalist in the Reader Views 2006 Literary Awards.  And, finally Russ is an Award-Winning Finalist in the Short Story Fiction category of the National Indie Excellence 2007 Book Awards for his book Tears and Tales.

Russ submitted a short story, The Heart Betrayed, to the Reader Views Short Story contest on Transformation -- an autobiographical story about how the author was changed.  His story was a finalist and is going to be published by Loving Healing Press.  The book will be out in June, 2007.

Steve Flairty, author of Tim Farmer ... A Kentucky Woodsman Restored, interviewed Russ recently for his new book, Kentucky's Everyday Heroes...Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things.   Steve's book is out and doing quite well.  There is an entire chapter on Russ along with a photo.  Kentucky's Everyday Heroes can be purchased from Wind Publications, 600 Overlook Drive, Nicholasville, KY 40356.
